Beginner Punch Needle Workshop: Create a colourful coaster
Ever wanted to try punch needle but weren’t quite sure where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect opportunity to give it a go! Join me for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to punch needle and discover how easy it can be to create with yarn.
I’ll introduce you to the tools and materials, show you how punch needle works, and guide you through the techniques you’ll need to create your own coaster. You’ll learn how to thread and use a punch needle, create consistent loops and work your way through a simple design. I’ll also share a few little tricks to help you create an even finish.
No previous experience is necessary. Just bring yourself and a willingness to have a go! If you’re looking for a new crafty hobby or simply keen to try something different, this workshop is a lovely place to start.
You’ll leave with your own finished punch needle coaster and a new skill to try again at home. If you would like to continue punch needling, there will be an opportunity to purchase a take-home kit that includes your own punch needle tool and hoop.

This workshop is designed for complete beginners. No previous experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
