Cross Stitch Basics: Beginner Workshop
Join Leah from Craft Make Do for a relaxing counted cross stitch workshop in Adelaide, where you'll learn the fundamentals of this creative, calming stitching technique, ready to keep stitching long after the class ends. No experience needed, just show up ready to learn.
This beginner friendly class is perfect if you're after a new hobby, a relaxing outing, or a fun activity to do solo or with a friend.
Over the session, Leah will take you through the materials used in counted cross stitch, how to read a pattern, and how to use an embroidery hoop, before teaching you the basic stitches themselves. Everything is supplied, so there's nothing to remember except yourself.
This workshop is about learning a skill for life, not a race to the finish line, so you won't finish your project within the session itself. Instead, you'll leave with a solid grounding in the basics, the confidence to keep going, and a project you can return to at your own pace, plus a calming new hobby you might just fall in love with.
Knowledge/skills required:
This workshop is designed for complete beginners. No previous embroidery or cross stitch experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
Attendees will get:

✶ A solid grounding in cross stitch materials, pattern reading, hoop use and the basic stitches

Attendees should bring:
Nothing, everything is supplied, just bring yourself.
If you're joining an in-person class, all materials and tools are provided.
If you're joining an online class, your kit will be posted to you. You will need to provide your own scissors.
No experience is necessary. All our workshops are designed for beginners

Cancellations: To cancel or reschedule, please notfy us at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop are non-refundable.
Refunds: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Refunds are available minus the cost of any materials sent to you, only if a cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the workshop start time.
No-Shows: If you are late or miss your session (no-show), we are unable to refund or reschedule.
